HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY BRENDAN!!!!

Brendan turned 5 toady, I can't believe it!! He wanted to go bowling so we all went and had a GREAT time!

We had to go during Josh's lunch hour so that he could come with us, we are so glad that we did!

Then Grandma and Grandpa Nelson came over to our house after for cake. They gave him a new water gun for his water fight birthday party on Saturday... he is SO excited!!

Brendan was begging us for this doctor dress-up forever, so this is what we got for him for his birthday. He is happy and so are we..... this is our investment into our retirement fund (he thinks he is going to be a doctor, so now with this step in the right direction Josh and I don't need a retirement fund, right?? ;). We just call him Doctor McDreamy!!! You gotta love his serious face as he gives Daelyn a shot, so cute! Brendan, you add So much joy to our family, we are so blessed to have you as a son. You are so tender hearted and super sweet! We love you SO much, Happy Birthday buddy!!!

Bees Game

We rode the train to the Bees game.... take a good look at Cam's mitt, it will be the last you or I will ever see of it. Cam left it on the train and was SO upset :(

My boys, and no I did not dress them the same. I didn't even realize they matched until after we left the house.
The kids LOVED meeting Bumble and get him to sign their hands!!!

Then we watched a GREAT firework show. The kids LOVED the BIG fireworks. But now the kids want us to buy BIG fireworks like that. We tried to explain to them that we can't buy them, but I think they are expecting a better firework show next year, won't they be disappointed? ;)

A day at the Zoo

We had a lot of fun going to the zoo with Aunt Natalie, Uncle Jeremy and cousin Drew.

I was starting to make dinner and Cameron came into the kitchen begging to help me out. However, the kids had just had a bath and I asked Cam to get dressed after and he didn't. So I told him that I would LOVE for him to help me make dinner but could he please go and put something on first and he did just that.......
This wasn't quite what I had in mind, but I guess that I didn't specifically tell him to go and get clothes on. He did put something on..... an apron :) Silly boy!!

Raging Waters!

4th of July (a little late)

Casper wanted a snack???

So all was quiet... too quiet.
Cameron was watching a movie or so I thought. I went downstairs to check on him and guess what I found.....
parmesean cheese shaken out all over the floor
powder sugar all over the floor and dumped into the oatmeal bin
half eaten slices of cheese all over in the fridge and on the floor
a big bite out of a stick of butter in the fridge
the lid off of the little cream cheese container with obvious finger marks
lots of missing grapes
and those were just the obvious things that I noticed.... who knows what else he ate or got into

So I asked him how all of the stuff got all over the kitchen and his reply was, "it just did it itself". So I asked him if he ate any of those things and he shook his head no and said "Casper did it".

I guess that "Casper" decided to get himself a little snack. What a big boy to do it on his own. However, next time PLEASE ask Mommy.... I would be more than happy to get a snack for you!!

Fishing With the Boys

Daddy took the boys fishing to Box Creek down by his parents house. They caught alot of fish, but needed to throw alot of them back as they weren't much bigger than minnows. However, they did bring back seven fish from the lake.

Cameron had a couple of trips where he slipped on the mud and slid into the lake. All of the boys were having more fun throwing sticks and rocks into the lake. Cameron and his cousin Drew, decided that the worms were dirty and they would put them in the lake to wash them off. However, we started running out of worms very quickly. After we had caught a couple of fish, Brendan and his cousin Easton thought the fish looked hungry so they started feeding the worms to the fish.

This was the bundle of fish that everyone caught. Brendan reeled in about 4 fish and we only kept 1 of them. He was started to get upset, because he didn't get to keep a fish that he reeled in. Finally, the last fish we caught was big enough to keep. However, he didn't want anything to do with cleaning the fish.

This was the boys after he headed from the lake back to the family cabin at Koosharem. They boys did not make it down the mountain to far, before they had fallen asleep on each other. This is something that they would never let happen if they were still both conscious.
