First Day of school 2012

Off to school! Daelyn is now in 4th grade, Brendan is in 2nd grade, and Cameron is in 1st grade. They are growing up way too fast!!

Locks of Love

Daelyn has always said that she wanted to grow her hair out long, cut it all off, and give it to locks of love (they make wigs for cancer patients and other patients that don't have hair for medical reasons). I have always been very proud of her decision and fully supported her. However, I have to admit... it was a little hard watching the hairstylist cut off all of her beautiful, thick, blonde hair. But, Daelyn had a huge smile on her face the whole time and kept saying, "I know that this will make someone else so happy" :) And she look SO cute!!!!!!!!

But then, she wanted me to do it too!  How can I say no to this sweet girl and her wonderful example? 

So, I got all of my hair chopped off too and am also donating it to locks of love. When I said I supported her decision, I didn't know that supporting meant doing it too. It didn't help that all of the other people in the salon, stylists/customers, were saying that now I had to cut mine off with her. But, I did it, and I would do it again, along with anything else for my sweet daughter. Here is an awful picture, but it is proof that I did it too :)

I love you so much Daelyn!! Thank you for being such a wonderful, true "Christ-like", example to me.

Brendan's baptism

We are so proud of you Brendan and your decision to be baptized. You are such a special young man and we love you so very much!
