December 2009

We had fun baking and decorating ginger bread houses and ginger bread boys and girls.

Brendan did a great job at his preschool Christmas program. I didn't get a lot of pictures because I was busy filming it instead. Brendan was chosen to be Rudolph the red nosed reindeer because his teacher thought that he would do a good job with the acting part because he is the class clown (I don't know why she would say that... look at the picture above ;) He got to wear a blinking red nose and antlers and dance around. That's my boy!! Good job Brendan!

Have a GREAT Christmas!!

This little picture above was from last year. We tried to do this again but as you can see from the picture below the boys now think that kissing a girl is disgusting!! I thought it was pretty funny. Ha Ha, I guess my kids are growing up fast!

Daelyn the ballerina

The little girl's warm ups

The BIG girl's warm ups (which Daelyn insisted on doing with them!)
I am amazed at how much she has learned at her new ballet studio. They really focus on technique and she is blossoming into a beautiful ballerina :) I was so impressed just watching her do the warm ups with the BIG girls because Daelyn was so little in comparison yet she knew all of the ballet terminology (which she didn't know before... her other dance studios were awful!) and her technique was wonderful :)

She is quite the little performer

She is becoming so precise with her movement and making sure that her arms are perfectly straight. She even tells the other little girls in her class to straighten their arms and what to do (ya, she might be a little bossy.... we are working on that ;)

We have spent the last month going to lots of ballet rehearsals and performances for Daelyn. She is becoming quite the little ballerina!! She is very dedicated! Back stage of her BIG Polar Express performance she was practicing her turns and staying warmed up and stretching, it was cute... she wouldn't even stop long enough for me to get some good pictures of her. She loves performing on stage (I don't know where she gets it ;) and does a fantastic job! We were allowed to leave after the first act (Daelyn's class is only in act one) but Daelyn insisted on staying through the second act because she HAD to stay for the finale so she could do her curtsy at the end with everyone, so funny!! Way to go Daelyn we are so proud of you!!
