The Easter Bunny came!

The Easter bunny came today (we asked him to come on Saturday instead of Sunday because it makes it SO much easier to go to church tomorrow and focus on the TRUE meaning of Easter :)

Spring is in the Air ( May not be suitable for children ;)

We thought that since it was such a BEAUTIFUL Sunday morning (and conference doesn't start until 12:00 on the East coast) we would take a stroll around Falls park, and take some spring pictures, and feed the ducks. But, we may have gotten more than we bargained for... A SPRING life lesson...

The kids were having a great time feeding the cute (male) ducks :)

Then, all of a sudden a LOUD sqwaking came from the bushes and out came a female duck... the male ducks that we were feeding TOOK OFF and practically attacked the female (the kids were very concerned, thinking that they were attacking, wrestling and drowning the "poor little duck"). We assured them that it was going to be fine, and perhaps we should go somewhere else, but the kids were NOT going to budge and miss this "wrestling match" (the boys' words).

And then the winning duck chased the female around the park...

And the mount....
Well, no time like the present to learn about the "birds and the bees", or in this case just the birds for now ;) (And yes, Josh took pictures of the entire event for all of you to enjoy).

Luckily, the kids didn't even really know or understand what was going on, they just thought it was funny to watch the ducks wrestle and chase each other.

Now, maybe we will have to come back to the park in a while to see all of the little baby ducks, but no... I don't think that we will tell the kids that we witnessed the babies being created.
