Stitches for Daelyn :(

After I dropped Daelyn off at school today I came home and got a phone call to turn around and come back to her school because she fell and split her chin. So I quickly piled the boys back in the car and went back to Daelyn's school and asked her what happened and she didn't really explain what happened. She just said that it was snowy and slippery and that she was on the bridge of the play ground and then she slipped and she thinks she closed her eyes on the way down and when she opened them back up she was on the ground and she thinks she landed on her face? I looked at her chin and was pretty sure that she needed stitches so we headed over to the instacare (again, I think we pay for all of the doctor's nice cars there) and found out the she did indeed need stitches. The doctor asked Daelyn what happened and was worried that Daelyn's answer was a little fuzzy and thought that she may have blacked out. Therefore, they made sure that Daelyn didn't have a concussion or anything, which she seemed fine except for the sore split chin and a bit of a headache. So, they proceeded to put four stitches in her chin. I have never seen Daelyn so SCARED and UPSET. She was CRYING, SCREAMING and YELLING at me and the doctor and the nurse, BEGGING me to not let them put stitches in her and she wouldn't let us hold her down or hold her head still (little Miss Independent)... it was quite the traumatic experience :( After it was all done she said that it didn't even hurt (I think it hurt me more watching my little girl get tortured!!). Anyway, she didn't feel like going back to school and the doctor said it wouldn't be a bad idea to take it easy and watch her just in case she had blacked out or whatever. So we went home and had ice cream and we all went to the movies. I knew that Daelyn was going to be just fine and was back to her normal, witty self when we were at the movies and the line in the movie was (a wife saying this), "I married a lunatic". Daelyn leaned over to me and asked me what a lunatic was so I told her that it was a crazy person and then she whispered back with a grin, "oh, so you married one too" and we both got a good chuckle :) We love you daddy! So all is well, once again at the Wilson house.

Wonderful Easter weekend :)

We had such a fun Easter with all of the Nelson family cousins. It was fun having Jenny, Michael and their two (and a half) girls in town. We also played a lot with Jed, Amber and their three kids. The weekend was full of fun at Grandma and Grandpa Nelson's house, coloring easter eggs, decorating cookies, slumber parties, egg hunts and just enjoying the time together. We also enjoyed spending time with Great Grandpa Cameron and Mary and Aunt Jacque. It was a wonderful weekend full of family and fun :) And yes... the kids all got zhu zhu pets from the Easter bunny... life doesn't get better than this!
