Snow in South Carolina!

Yesterday it was about 70 degrees, and the weather channel said that it was supposed to snow here today. We didn't believe them until HUGE snowflakes started to fall. The kids were very excited since they haven't played in the snow for quite a while. They immediately asked to go out and play. So, we found the few coats, gloves and hats that we had, and sent them outside. They decided to build a big snow man.

I was very entertained watching from the warm house, especially watching Josh try to help the kids put the HUGE snowballs together to make the snowman :)

Finally.... SUCCESS!!

He turned out cute... and HUGE!

But, then the sun came out and he started melting quickly. It didn't take long for him to start leaning forward. The kids ran over and tried to push him back upright and save him.... BUT............
The kids were sad about the snowman, but they still had a lot of fun playing in the snow today!

Twin Day

Today was twin day at school. The kids were able to dress alike with one of their friends. I love that Brendan and his good friend Jeremiah chose to be twins for twin day. These two are complete opposites, yet they are such good buddies. So, here is a picture of them dressed alike for twin day :)

(And in case you were wondering, they are both in the same second grade class even though it doesn't look like they should be :)
*Oh... and Brendan is wearing his new glasses, doesn't he look smart and handsome?!?*

Here is Daelyn and her "twin" Gracie. Ever since Daelyn's first day of school at this school, everyone always called her Gracie because they thought they looked so much alike. These pictures don't show just how much the really do look alike (they look more alike when they aren't smiling).

I got the above pictures from the kids' teachers. So sorry, I didn't get one of Cameron. Cameron's entire class wore their class shirt so that they could all be "twins" together :) But, here is a picture of Cam in his shirt from a different day....
